I thought I would write this short blog on consumer awareness when it comes to making a purchase online.

Because I promote other people’s products I thought that I should check out the rules and regulations around this topic for my own benefit.

Before you make any purchase online, check out the seller details and systems they have in place to protect your security and privacy.

It is so awesome, and not to mention convenient to purchase online these days, but can be difficult when we run into problems, and more so when we are dealing with international sellers.

  • Stop and research the content of the website.
  • Check to see if the site is secure and displays an SSL certificate e.g. web address should start with HTTPS.
  • A trusted payment system. e.g Paypal.
  • Read customer reviews.
  • Check out the about page.
  • Refund /Replacement policy.
  • Faulty products.
